Never Mind the War on Drugs

- - - Doing right is even harder than it looks.- - -

War on Drugs move over. War on Crime move over. War on Poverty scoot!
Make room for the War on Obesity.
The Obama administration has declared the
potato  non gratis or rather an unwanted vegetable.

At the direction of the Obama administration the U.S. Department of Agriculture wants to get rid of potatoes in school lunches.  There are plans in the works to remove rice, pasta and bread and oranges.

You may ask with what can we afford to replace these starches and sugars.
Communist China and soviet Russians answered this question long ago.
Faced with the cost of feeding many millions of political prisoners and already facing
a shortage of wheat, rice and potatoes,  the communist bureaucrats resorted to grass.  Yes
prisoners in the gulag were fed cooked hay and other grasses to keep them alive and working
on the cheap.  Many in the Obama administration have endorsed federally subsidies for the growing of grass.

Can our school children be far behind.  Many would consider school a kind of gulag or education camp.    What did you have for lunch honey?  Grass clippings, again.
Yes, the administration will have the children eating grass if allowed to stay on coarse.
Actually the end of American Obesity is in sight.  The present attitudes toward energy and
agriculture will shortly result in skyrocketing food prices.  It is the administrations view
that North America and Europe must fall to  the level of the undeveloped world.

The problem is the method of preparation.  Not the wholesome and nutritous vegetable itself.
